Tabitha Franks


Tabitha is in the final year of the Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine, having returned to full-time study as a mature-age student 20 years after completing her Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2001. As a single mother balancing part-time work and family responsibilities, Tabitha understands the realities of returning to university later in life. She will share her insights into the true cost of study, including the financial challenges, reduced earning capacity, and the importance of scholarships and support services, as well as practical strategies for managing the costs of higher education.
